Aristocrat Leisure Appoints Native American Tribal Leader to Board

Aristocrat Leisure, a gaming tech firm, has named Bill Lance, a revered Native American tribal chief, to its governing body.
Lance’s placement is active promptly, awaiting regulatory green lights. He contributes a breadth of knowledge to the position, having functioned as the longest-tenured Commerce Head for the Chickasaw Nation, a notable Native American tribe located in Oklahoma. Throughout his term, he supervised the tribe’s varied business holdings, encompassing gaming, lodging, retail, and media ventures.
Subsequent to departing from his role as Commerce Secretary, Lance persists as an esteemed figure within the Chickasaw Nation and further. The Chickasaw Nation Governor bestowed upon him the honorary designation of Ambassador at Large. He also acts as the Nation’s representative on various national and state groups, including the American Gaming Association and the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce.
Lance’s proficiency goes beyond tribal administration. He holds a seat on the board of directors for the Chickasaw Nation Foundation and BancFirst, a publicly traded corporation listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange. His notable credentials also encompass prior board affiliations with the University of Oklahoma Foundation and advisory capacities for the Oklahoma Department of Commerce and Oklahoma State University’s College of Arts and Sciences.
Neil Chatfield, Aristocrat Leisure’s Chairman, conveyed his excitement about Lance joining the board, remarking, “I am thrilled to greet such a seasoned executive as Bill to the Board.”
He contributes a breadth of knowledge to the council, having served as a director in both the interactive entertainment sector and Native American tribal administration.

Investors of the corporation will decide on his selection as a non-executive administrator of the corporation at the yearly general assembly in February 2023.
This announcement follows Aristocrat’s recent deal to purchase UK-based gaming provider Roxor Gaming.
